Briagolong is a pretty little town nestled at the foothills of the Great Dividing Range, and is perfect for a leisurely weekend drive. Enjoy bushwalks, picnics, biking, visiting wineries or just walking the dog around the Red Gum Reserve on the edge of town. Other recreational activities include gold and gemstone fossicking on Freestone Creek, horse riding and 4WD touring.

Blue Pool is a local favourite swimming hole nearby which is set in a gorge on Freestone Creek with rocky outcrops rising on all sides. There are shallows suitable for smaller children and well as deeper spots for more seasoned swimmers. It is surrounded by bushland and is a very popular camping ground with BBQs, toilets, shelter and walking tracks.
