Glenmaggie

These small townships are adjacent to Lake Glenmaggie, a major water storage dam for the Macalister Irrigation District. Under the broad expanse of water lie the remains of the original township of Glenmaggie and the farms that occupied the shallow valley.

Lake Glenmaggie is an ideal location for anyone interested in recreational water sports, including fishing, water skiing and power boating. The Weir Wall area has a pleasant picnic area with and a viewing area where you can see the spillway and the hydro electricity generation station.

The drive through the countryside to this area is breath-taking with its beautiful rolling hills. Enjoy a walk around the lake and the natural beauty of Glenmaggie Regional Park.
